A Lazy Daisy Day

We have been extremely lazy at Hringbraut.

Slept a lot. Read a lot. Watched too much telly.

Sandra went to the movies yesterday with Lilja and her friend - she really enjoyed it!

I went for a ladies night in Hafnarfjörður last night. Lots of food and laughter :)

Another lazy day today :)

Silja's birthday

More food!

This time chocolate cake at Silja's birthday. Lovely party and kids enjoyed the selves.

Then on to Hrönn and Valdi's house for a "bring your left overs" dinner and Trivial Pursuit. A little to much wine on offer but everyone had a blast.

Today is the day to relax :)

Wonderful Christmas!

Boxing Day today.

Rebekka and I are at Hringbraut, completely exhausted after the big chokolate eating contest and gift opening marathon. I have been out for a long walk with Elisabet and now it is time for a shower and then some more food...!

Christmas Eve was nice and peaceful at my parents house and everyone got lots of lovely presents. My children spoiled me with all their lovely handicrafts and I also got an interesting Christmas book to read from Rebekka ("Tryggðarpant") which I have not yet started to read.

Christmas day was nice, I went for a walk with friends by Rauðavatn and in the evening Rebekka and I went to play Catan with some more friends. Lots of joy and laughter.

So may plans for the next days... this is going to be a great Christams vacation.

Merry Christmas to you all!!!

The Post Lady!

Rebekka is working hard during the holidays.... she has signed up at the local post office and is at this very moment walking outside in the cold weather, delivering precious Christmas cards in Vesturbær!

Hey Dóra - if you are reading this. Rebekka just found a card with your name on it but addressed to Tómasarhagi! She will make sure it gets to you in the end :)

Ginger Bread Train

We just assembled a ready baked ginger bread train from America - and it is really the magical Polar Express! Kids are now happily eating the rest of the icing and all fingers are very "fingerlickingly" sticky...

All the good things in life :)

So much to do - so little time! But what has happened since Dec. 10th ?

- I have finished my exams and just got the first grade.... 9,5!!!!!

- Rebekka has also finished her exams and her grades were brilliant. This girl is amazing. She misses out three weeks og school and travels to the end of the world and back - and her grades stayed the same :)

- Eiríkur and Sandra have finished their term of school with a Christmas party at school and are happy preparing Christmas with me. We are busy, busy, busy!!

-Eiríkur did great at the concert playing the drums and Sandra sang like an angel at Dómkirkja's Children's Christmas Mass.

- My parents are absolutely the best in the world - and tonight we will have dinner at their place and decorate some of gingerbread figures together with Anna's kids. The baking was done last week and we had a blast.

- And I can actually update my blog from home now - thanks to a great friend who spent an evening cleaning out the computer. Sandra and Eirikur were very nervous that all their games would go missing so they kept an eye on things until the computer had been restored :) Kærar þakkir!

Studying for an exam

I wish I had more time to study but the test is tomorrow! Then I have one assignment to hand in and voilá - we have the Christmas Holidays :)

Just read this Arabic saying (sorry guys it is in Icelandic - I will look for a translation later...):

Sá sem vill eitthvað finnur leið, sá sem ekki vill finnur afsökun...

Sandra and her ballet :)

Lovely photo of Sandy

Amma Sandy on her wedding day!

Krakkalist

Can't wait to see Eiríkur on stage tonight. He will perform with his group of peers at Borgarleikhúsið and now that he is "Krakkalist" and not "Sönglist" the preformance will take an hour or so!

Eiríkur is very busy today, he has band practice at 4:30, then classparty directly afterwards and then the Christmas performance tonight. He will be exhausted the next we days!!!

Loooong time!

Quick update.....

Rebekka is back at Hringbraut. I was so happy to have her back, missed her like mad :( Now she has her exams at MR and is very busy studying.

The children's English school celebrated end of term this morning. Great to see all the things they ahve been doing in the past few months.

Sandra's end of term ballet show was great. We got to see her during her last lesson and the little girls preformed a dance for the proud parents and grandparents. My mum joined me in cheering Sandra on and she was beautiful in her ballet outfit.

Eiríkur will perform his "Krakkalist" plays twice this week, I hope to see him in action this coming Wednesday night. He is so excited about the whole thing :)

I am working hard at school with all the projects and preaprations for the exams. Will be done December 11th - counting the seconds!

Busy, busy, busy...
