A Star is Born...

Eiríkur and his cousin Skafti just came back from acting in an advertisment for a new brand of yogurt. Eiríkur got to play the school bully with Skafti laughing at his side! Hmmm - I am glad it was only acting :) The two of them were pleased with the day, lots of excitement and good food! We look forward to seeing them on tv!

Movies

I saw two movies over the weekend - both of them pretty good even though I must say I liked the second one better. The first one I saw was Breaking and Entering with Jude Law (of course!) and the second one was Notes on a Scandal with Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett. Both to be recommended :)

A whole week...

Seven days since I last posted something on this blog.

Perhaps nothing has happened for a whole week.

Perhaps my life has been too busy for the daily reporting.

Perhaps both, busy doing the same things as always :)

All is well @ Hringbraut

Animals, kids and the Super Villain Lady are all well after the famous trip to the vet. Doppa and Birta were extra well behaved and Silja and Sandra were true stars!

Yet another busy weekend ahead of us... will report as events happen... or after they have taken place!

I am planning to get Sandra and Silja to help me take the cat and the dog to the vet today for their annual shots and deworming. Birta is such a sweetie that I have no worries about her - but my darling Doppa.com will be climing the curtains and scratching and biting everyone and everything... I will be happy when it is done :)

The Weekend!

This weekend will be spent at school and doing school work...

Wednesdays are tricky :)

Every Wednesday this term Sandra goes to ballet at 17:15 and finishes at 18:00

Every Wednesday this term Eiríkur has band practice at 16:30 until 18:00

Every Wednesday I need to pick up kids at two different places at the same time.

Today I finally found the solution - I pick up Silja from Grafarvogur after school and get the two girls to ballet. Anna then picks up the two girls from ballet and brings Sandra home - and I can pick up Eiríkur without him standing outside freezing for far to long :) Sometimes life is pretty simple!

Pancakes

I made endless pancakes for little people today. Eiríkur brought home two of his friends and Sandra one friend. Then Rebekka turned up as well :) I need one more pan to be on top of this baking business!

Jakarta

I just heard from my dearest friend Kayee in Jakarta - this does not sound good:

"don't know if you have heard of massive floods here (when did you leave?
were you here in the 2002 floods?). telecommunications have been down, Jl
Sudirman, and some surrounding areas are badly flooded. many friends are
without electricity and have water in their house. Kemang is badly
flooded aswell. JIS was closed on Friday and today i'ts also closed
because it doesn't have clean water."

I was there in the 2002 floods which were bad enough but Kemang (my neighbourhood was not to badly flooded and my house was dry). So many homeless people, rats coming out of the sewers and the floodwater is very dirty and contaminated. You are all in my thoughts!

Just came back from the theatre - saw "Pabbinn" (the dad). It was very simple but quite funny :)

Very busy weekend ahead - will be great!

Eiríkur

Poor Eiríkur is still not well and is getting bored hanging out at home with his mum and her studies. He will hopefully get better soon as we have a busy weekend ahead of us! My parents have been helping out and Eiríkur is ever so grateful when he gets to visit amma and afi these days as they spoil him in every way!!
