Dinner with Anna et al

Surprise visit from my sister and her kids ended with a dinner and a long chat. Sunna was visiting as well so there was a lot of laughter in the house this evening :)

On the Road Again!

Two weeks ago this little family spent the weekend at Ísólfskáli, the yearly trip with ISO crowd :) Two sets of twins under the age of three set the tone for the weekend which was family friendly and great fun. Lots and lots of berries were picked and in the evening we enjoyed a fab BBQ, raising our glasses as always in memory of Ísólfur and Herta whose home is now a holidayhouse. Can't wait for ISO 2009!

This weekend was also spent out of town. We were invited to take part in a 4x4 trip to Svínárnes where we spent the night in a hut (built for the farmers who gather the sheep in that area every autumn). We even saw the herds of sheep on the way as they were being sorted in a purpose built pen. Lovely walk in Kerlingarfjöll was a real highlight and our drive the next day across the rivers to Þjórsárdalur. But the friendly atmosphere in the hut on Saturday evening was the nicest part of the weekend, lots of laughter and friendship!

Salsa!

The latest thing is learning - and dancing - Salsa once a week with a brilliant group of people!

Love the music but won't be dancing like this quite yet ;)

Still alive!

And having a good time!

My little ones at the International School are keeping me busy but they are such sweathearts that at the end of each day I cannot stop smiling!! I might start posting in some stories for you to enjoy as the bilingual bunch is very lively!

My big kids at home are great, they have all started school, Rebekka will finish MR in the spring, Eiríkur has started 8th grade at Hagaskóli and Sandra 5th grade at Vesturbæjarskóli. Soon we will also have ballet, church, drama, English School, badmington etc to keep me busy as a taxi driver in my spare time!

The mountains are also waiting to be explored, some trips have been planned, and new adventures await me at every corner.

Let's see how this winter goes :)
