Eiríkur and Sönglist

Brilliant performances at Borgarleikhúsið! Eiríkur has now performed three times in his play "Allt er gott sem gengur upp" ... so much fun :) Now it is time to celebrate big time...!

More Christmas Preparations!

We made "piparkökur" (ginger bread buiscuits) today at my parents house in Breiðholt. Kids love making them and decorating - and of course eating them!!!

We also made chocolate chip cookies - called "Valerie-cookies" in our family as our AFS exchange student brought the recepie with her to Iceland in 1977 and they have been made before every Christmas since then!!!!!! Thanks to Valerie and her mum for the recipie!

"Laufabrauð"

We were busy making "laufabrauð" today at Bjössi's house. Ended up having pizza there as well!

Also enjoyed looking after baby Theodor and baby Lára Guðbjörg in the morning. They are such sweethearts!

AFS - Class of '82

25 years since I spent my AFS year in Switzerland with my wonderful Swiss family Jueni on a farm in Kanton Bern! A year that taught me so much about life and about myself...

A get-together at Olli's house was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends from my AFS year and the theme question of the evening was: "Have your dreams come true in those 25 years!"
