P.S. there is a new wall in the house, much to Rebekka's delight! Poor thing just had her wisdom teeth pulled out on Friday and needed a lot of cheering up and pamepering at amma and afi's house this weekend!

Working days!

Sandra has been coming to work with me in the past two days because her school has not yet started. She has been a great helper, especially with my five year olds :)

Eiríkur decided to spend the two days and one night with amma and afi in Vesturberg. He looked very comfy on afi's favorite chair watching "Stöð 2" when we picked him up last night!!

We are still painting at Hringbraut...

Easter Weekend

So far so good...

- Rummikub and Catan tornament at Vesturberg with Anna and family, Viky, Daniel, Kristján and Skafti

- dinner at Vesturberg with Emma and Albert

- coffee party with Elin E and some friends.... loved the cinnamon cake ;)

- and of course a walk.... this time a 4 hour walk on Helgafell, Húsfell and Búrfell near Hafnarfjörður

P.S. We have a door to Rebekka's new room thanks to Albert... but still missing a wall hehe.

Spring Cleaning!

We have been very busy at Hringbraut making some changes to the house. They are not yet finished but the house will look great when we finally get everything done :)

The kids have been extremely helpful - they are my small superheros!!!!

My dear friend Sissa (Sigfríður) also came for a quick cup of tea, lovely to catch up with her for a moment!

I saw my parents as well yesterday as they looked after the kids whilest I was out hiking on Esja so I had lots of great people around me yesterday!

"Juno"

I saw the movie Juno this evening with some friends. Well - it was interesting but somehow did not quite catch my attention...

Super Weekend :)

Friday:
We went to the theatre and saw an Icelandic play called Sólarferð. Quite funny! Then on to Næstibar for a quick drink and then home sweet home....

Saturday:
Lazy-daisy lovely morning :)
Sandra and I went to the pool in the aftenoon with Silja and then had a nice evening with my parents. Lot's of good food and nice chats in Breiðholt as always.

Sunday:
Another great walk. This time an almost 6 hour walk to Móskarðshnjúkar in lovely weather and brilliant company. Thanks guys - it is always fun to walk with you!
Then to Kjartan's confirmation party, nice to see everyone. The kids made up a good game with jumping origami frogs and had heaps of fun!

Esjan again!

Cold, windy, snowy, blind, WONDERFUL! Takk Halli for coming with me!

Sunday for relaxing moments

Sandra and I went to Kringlan today to buy a birthday present for my cousin Björk (Albertsdóttir). She celebrated her 30th birthday today and we decided to get her pyjamas and flowers.

I then went for a quick coffee and a chat with some friends at Cafe Hresso but didn't get any cakes until at the birthday party. My goodness were they nice cakes, thank you Björk :) Björk showed us some photos from the time she was a baby (and I do remember these fat cheeks and blue eyes!). And honest to God - we also took a look at her rubber duck collection!!! Lovely party and very amusing moments!

Laughed very hard all day - feeling very cheerful now!

Hengill

Lovely six hour walk Saturday - the weather was absolutely perfect! Sunshine, beautiful snowy mountains and a great group of people. We ended up walking Mt. Skarðsmýrarfjall twice as we needed to cross it to get over to Mt. Skeggi!

We had fun using a rope to get down a steep hill, climbed the side of the mountaine (a little scary for me but good for an adrenaline rush) and then sliding down the snow to get down the fast lane :) We were like little kids in the snow...

Back from Mexico!

No not me... my parents!

They just spent a month in Mazatlan, Mexico with Kristin, Jaime and the family. They had a lovely, lovely time, despite the fact that my father was taken ill part of the time.

But they are back now and we are very happy as we've missed them so much!
